Dave graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 1980. After exploring different places and professions through his early years, he settled down back in his hometown, where he married the love of his life and worked at Hannah Steel as the Safety Coordinator for the last 26 years.
Dave’s greatest joy was his family, whom he cherished and guided as their unwavering backbone and compass. His memory will live on vibrantly through each of them. A true handyman, Dave loved working with his hands, whether building, remodeling, or fixing anything that broke. Whether sharing his vast knowledge or delivering a perfectly timed (and often slightly inappropriate) joke, he could command any room. His contagious laughter and lifelong sense of fun and adventure will be deeply missed.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family.
A celebration of life to honor Dave’s memory will be held at a later date. More information will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be left at www.CSofIL.com.
