Obituary of Tammy Burton

Tammy Denice Taflinger Burton, 57, of Bardolph, formerly of Peoria and Princeville, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born in Macomb on April 30, 1968, to Donald and Doris (Ebey) Taflinger.

She is survived by her three sons, Steven Fowler, Travis Kepple, and Skylar Burton; her brother, Donnie (Teressa) Taflinger of Abingdon; and 5 grandchildren, Aleah, Macey, Leland, Tucker, and Lane Kepple.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Tammy graduated from Macomb High School, then graduated from Carl Sandburg College for Nursing in 2002.

 A lover of horses and country life, Tammy spent many enjoyable hours at Kepple Creek Farms. She was an accomplished bow hunter and loved flowers, gardening, cooking on a campfire, and being outdoors. She enjoyed muscle cars and drag races—her Challenger was her pride and joy.

Tammy loved spending time with her family and grandkids and always helped family and friends in times of need. She will be dearly missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family.
