Obituary of Gary Eugene Wise

Gary E. Wise, 78, of Morton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born in Springfield on August 28, 1947, to Eugene and Doris (Graham) Wise. On October 15, 1967, he married Sheri Park in Girard, IL, and together they shared 58 years of loving marriage; she survives.

Gary is also survived by his two children: Michelle (Randall) Towles of Salem, VA, and their four children—Ryan, Ashley, Haley, and Tyler—and Chris Wise of Morton, IL, and his three children—Luke, Lindy, and Lyla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ken and Dave Wise. He is survived by brother Russell (Jan) Wise of Grapevine, TX.

Gary graduated from Washington High School in 1965 and proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He spent most of his career working in management across sales, grocery, and retail.

Above all, Gary cherished the time he spent with his seven grandchildren.
