Obituary of Sharon Henrich

Sharon Marie Gravitt Henrich, 82, of Peoria, peacefully passed away with her daughter by her side on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria.

She was born in Peoria on December 22, 1943, to James and Marie (Endsley) Smith. She married Leonard Henrich on April 1, 1986, in Peoria; he preceded her in death on April 25, 2009.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, James “Jim” Smith.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Sheila Parish and Michelle Francis, both of Peoria; her son, Russell “Rusty” Gravitt of the Philippines; her sister, Kathy Sanders of Peoria; nieces; nephews; and many grandchildren.

She enjoyed playing bingo and slots, visiting friends, watching television, listening to music on the radio, and playing Yahtzee with her sister, Kathy and her nephew, Kevin.

Sharon was a kind, loving individual who cherished her family. She enjoyed sharing coffee and conversations with Kathy and spent quality time with her daughter Sheila—watching TV, shopping, and making each other laugh. Although watching her mother suffer was difficult, Sheila found comfort in being by Sharon's side during her final days.

Sharon will be truly missed, but we find comfort knowing she is now at peace in Heaven with her loved ones. She is flying with the Angels and at peace. Love you, Mom.
