Pamela K. Stenger, 74, passed away, surrounded by her family, friends, and staff, on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Lacon Rehab and Nursing. She was born in Fort Madison, IA on August 17, 1951, to Lawrence and Maryann (Rippenkroeger) Stenger.

She is survived by her sister, Julie (Chris) Higgins of Varna; two brothers, Roger Stenger and Donald Stenger, both of Peoria; nephews, Austin Higgins and Aaron Sheldrick; her niece, Alana Ray; and many cousins in Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Michael Stenger and Ronald Stenger.

Pam enjoyed life. She participated in several downtown Peoria parades during her youth, including one as Miss Leatherneck, and was a member of the American Legion Post 2 Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

She lived at St. Sharbel in Peoria for 13 years before moving to Lacon Rehab and Nursing, where she passed. She has many friends who loved and cared for her at both places. She also has many long-time family friends that thought of her like a sister.

Pam was the best sister and will be greatly missed.
