Obituary of Lori Ann Gazelle

Lori A. Gazelle, 60, of Tremont, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born in Peoria on September 26, 1965, to Larry Breweur and Diana (Allen) Zimmerman. On August 5, 1995, she married her husband of over 30 years, Adrian J. Gazelle, Jr., in Eureka; he survives.

Also surviving is her son, Adrian III (Katie) Gazelle of Metamora; stepdaughter, Samantha (Steven) Woosley of Erie, PA; her father, Larry Breweur; 7 grandchildren, Abel, Hunter and Millie Gazelle and Calvin, Ayden, Madilyn, and Robyn Byerly; siblings, Joelyn (Tom) Nauman of Bradenton, FL, Jason (Kim) Breweur of Pekin; and Jerrod Dunbar of Bartonville;  and stepsiblings, Linda Pfister and Daniel, Dennis, Doug, Donny and Rich Zimmerman.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Diana Zimmerman and her stepfather, Jeep Zimmerman.

Lori spent her adult life dedicated to her career in customer service, working in a variety of jobs over the years, most recently at Casey’s General Store in Tremont.

In her free time, Lori enjoyed many hobbies, from reading to crocheting blankets for loved ones and playing World of Warcraft. While her hobbies brought her immense joy, nothing could top being a MawMaw.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Deer Creek American Legion Post 1276, 31473 American Legion Road, Mackinaw, IL 61755. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family.
