Obituary of Sarah Ann Hartfield

Sarah A. Hartfield, 71, of Peoria, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

She was born in Chicago, IL on January 25, 1955, to Frank and Ora Mae Armstrong.

She is survived by her husband, Theado Hartfield; her three daughters, Janette Summerville, Jaclyn Armstrong and Stephanie Summerville; and her three grandchildren, Antonio Summerville II, Cinese Summerville and Dasani Ruffin.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, Frank Armstrong Jr.

Sarah was a student at Dusable High School in Chicago, IL, and her last place of employment was working as a receptionist at a real estate firm.

Sarah loved to read, listen to music and enjoy time with her family. She loved to cook and bbq.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with her loved ones.
