Obituary of Sandra Louise Lantz

Sandra “Sandy” L. Lantz, 64, of Peoria Heights, formerly of Villa Grove, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  She was born in Morgantown, WV on June 29, 1962, to Clarence and Patricia (Wolford) Lantz.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Vance of Villa Grove; son, Joseph Lantz of Hoopeston; sisters Debbie (Roy) Bird and Donna (Patrick) Bonham; brother Ronnie Lantz; twin brother Jimmy Lantz; and her 4 grandchildren Joseph, Wyatt, Bella, and Linkin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; stepfather, Ernest Utt; and two brothers, Ernie Utt Jr and David Lantz.

Sandy dedicated her life to caring for her family at home. She was an avid watcher of Days of Our Lives, Young and the Restless, and the Bold and the Beautiful. She loved camping, fishing, and walking around town while listening to her favorite music. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always willing to help someone in need.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
