Obituary of Debra S. Markley

Debra S. Markley, 68, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born in Springfield on July 17, 1957, to Charles and Wanda (Robinett) Christison; they both preceded her in death. Her brother, Harold Christison also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her three children, Adam Markley (Anna Thieme-Markley), Rachael (Joshua) Knowles, Noah Erickson; and thirteen grandchildren, with her first great grandchild due this fall.

She LOVED shopping, making bracelets, arts and crafts, singing karaoke, and all her dogs, as well as having a deep love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed all things GLAM and GLITZY, a self-proclaimed GLAM-MA aka GLAMMY aka Queen D. aka Q-Dizzle. Known for her bedazzled personality and glasses, she had a nickname for EVERYONE she loved or was friends with. Always full of eccentric life and opinion, she will be deeply missed by all who got to feel the impact of her louder-than-life personality.

A small, private family service has already been held.
