Obituary of Candy L. Hazell

Candy L. Hazell, 68, of Peoria, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Sharon Healthcare Elms in Peoria. She was born in Marshall, MO on February 11, 1958, to William and Linda (Marsh) Hazell.

She is survived by her daughter, Taryn Hazell of Dunlap; one grandson, Keegan Whitelow; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

In addition to her parents, Candy was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Skinner, whom she missed dearly.

Candy spent many years working as a hairstylist and later in life explored a passion for interior design.  She loved cooking, traveling and never missed a chance to learn something new. Candy never met a stranger and cherished the time spent with her family, especially Keegan.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family.
