Marsha Davis

Obituary of Marsha Sue Davis

Marsha S. Davis, 78, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born in Peoria on June 12, 1947, to Edward and Alice (Gobert) Goble. She married Ernest D. Davis in 1962.

She is survived by her three children, Tammy (Doug) Pilman, Scott Davis, and Alicia (Bob) Hirsch, and her brother Dan (Stephanie) Goble. Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren, John, Rachel, Michelle, Monica, Cecelia, and Mathias, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Goble, as well as her brother, Ron Goble.

Marsha had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger and left every encounter with warmth and kindness. Her signature farewell--"Love you, bye"--was always accompanied by a heartfelt hug. She loved her dogs, hummingbirds, and all animals. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers.

To those who knew her--as Mom, Grandma, Aunt, sister or friend--Marsha was a source of love and comfort. She will be remembered not only for her fun-loving attitude, but also the way she made others feel seen and appreciated.

To our best friend--Mom, Sister, Grandma and Aunt--we will always love and miss you. We will cherish all the joyful memories we made together. May your memory bring comfort to all who knew you.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family. There will be a Celebration of Life for close family and friends at a later date.
