Obituary of Sandra K. Jacobs

Sandra “Sandy” Jacobs, 80, of Elmwood, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at her home. She was born in Canton on April 13, 1945, to Glen and Helen (Compton) Rutledge. She married John L. Jacobs on October 1, 1962.

She is survived by her 4 children, Pamela (Bob) Williamson of Elmwood, Timothy (Becky) Jacobs of West Peoria, Terry Jacobs of Canton, and Richard Jacobs of Elmwood; 7 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel; son, Johnny; grandson, Austyn; granddaughter, KayLeigh; and great-grandson, Eddy.

Sandy worked as a housekeeper for OSF St. Francis Medical Center for over 20 years and served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Limestone Township Volunteer Fire Department.

She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and was an avid Nascar fan, but most of all, Sandy cherished being a mom and grandma, spending time with her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Illinois is assisting the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bartonville VFW from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
