Obituary of Leona Louise Knickerbocker

Leona Louise Knickerbocker, 71, of Pekin, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Timber Creek Rehab and Healthcare in Pekin. She was born in Peoria on October 29, 1949, to Glen and Louise (Dozard) Rogers. In 1975, she married Ronald Knickerbocker; he preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, April (Samual) Ames of Hopedale; her sister, Myrtle May “Sandi” Armstrong of Florida; her two brothers, Chuck Rogers of Florida and John Rogers of Arkansas; 2 grandsons, Logan and Zack Toft; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William, Glen, and Ken Rogers. Leona worked as a CNA and a Home Health Aide. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and loved cats and listening to music. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens Chapel in Peoria. Cremation Specialist of Central Illinois is assisting the family.
