Obituary of Judith Ann Glass

Judith Ann Glass, of Washington, IL, passed away on November 19, 2021, at 80 years of age. She leaves behind her daughter, Terry Schmider of Peoria; son David (Jennifer) Schneider of Peoria Heights; granddaughters, Shannon (Chris) Jamroch of Dunlap and Sarah Schmider of Peoria; grandson, Zakary Schneider of Peoria Heights; and great grandchildren, Ashton and Bailey Jamroch. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Rachel Jamroch, one brother, Lawrence and one sister, Carolyn. Judy was born on July 13, 1941, in Peoria, IL to Eugene and Helen McElyea. She was raised in a large family consisting of two brothers and four sisters. Beakay, Nolan, Bonnie, and Kim survive. Judy loved to shop! She was a lifelong supporter of the Goodwill (and many other stores). She enjoyed her small garden and reading the Bible. She worked at Montgomery Wards until her retirement in 1992. She was thoughtful woman who had a beautiful heart and loved her family fiercely. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and we know that she is now in her heavenly home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Cremation Specialist of Central Illinois is assisting the family. There will be no services. The family will have a celebration dinner at a later date in our beloved Mother’s honor.
