Obituary of Charlotte M Strumpher

We are sad to announce that Charlotte (Charmie) M. Strumpher,44, of Springfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 13. 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was a resident at Sharon Healthcare Pines, a traumatic brain injury unit, in Peoria. Charmie was born on October 28, 1977 to Charles “Bennie” and Regina “Jeannie” (Casper) Strumpher. She graduated from Lutheran High School in Springfield and was a certified medical assistant. She also worked as a server at several local restaurants over the years. Her passion was photography and she pursued that for several years in photo studios in Springfield. She loved making people laugh, even in blindness, loved to cook and serve others, and loved entertaining on the holidays. Even on her worst of days, she would still give you a hug and tell you that everything was going to be ok. Anyone that knew her would say they never met someone more compassionate, loving, understanding, and willing to make them feel better even though she was suffering inside. She is survived by her sister, Samantha Lester of Springfield; her father, Bennie Strumpher of Springfield; her son, Casimir Strumpher of Athens; her daughter, Lyric Graves of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding her in death was her mother, Jeannie Strumpher (Harrison); her grandparents, William (Bill) & Charlotte Casper and Charles Bennie & Marie Strumpher; her uncle, Shawn Strumpher of Cleveland, OH; her 3 aunts, Patty Ferry and Margret Ciesler of Springfield and Mariben Skyczynski of Springfield, MO; her companion, William (Bill) Guyer of Springfield; and her daughter’s father, Mathew Graves of Springfield.
