Obituary of Kenneth Moore

Kenneth “Ken” Moore, 66, of East Peoria, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, following a brief illness. He was born in Galesburg on January 27, 1956, to Robert and Doris (Cottom) Moore of Abington; they preceded him in death. He is survived by two sisters, Kathy (Dennis) Overstreet and Arlene (Jim) Smith, and many nieces and nephews. Ken graduated from Abingdon High School before enlisting in the US Navy Nuclear Submarine Program. After training at the Great Lakes Naval Base, he was assigned to the USS Pargo submarine in Groton, CT. He was honorably discharged in September 1980. His life work interest was in various electronic and audio-visual positions. Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at a later date.
